Inclusive view of gambling on pool

THE POOL ROOM by Sid Ragland gives a comprehensive view of gambling and the people who gamble on billiards (pool). It explores their personalities, character and relationships. The story line covers the life of some of the characters and brings them up to date from their early childhood to the present time. The story line has a surprise ending that I found facinating.

    Only The House Wins!

You'll enjoy reading about one of Oklahoma Cityt's truly dysunctional families and their home away from home known as The Pool Room.Sid successfully ties the famous and infamous to the exciting, captivatingand actually slightly illegal to give readers a thrill & a chuckle. I assure the reader that these are REAL people! Some are local celebrities and some are known internationally! Purchase any recent or not-so-new POOL & BILLIARD mag and you'll recognize more than a few characters! Sid is the only one to finally write about this great place and it's strangely united family of regulars and irregulars! I lived it& loved the book!
