The Portal Mirror
'The Portal Mirror' takes you deep inside a haunting that began with a single unanswered question and grew into something far beyond imagination. Robert S. Clarkin never planned to become the keeper of a doorway between worlds. Yet strange things began to happen—music playing on its own, voices calling in the dead of night, and handprints appearing on mirrors where no one had touched. What started as isolated incidents escalated into a storm of supernatural activity: child spirits running through darkened halls, furniture shifting on its own, unexplained symbols etched in powder, and shadowy figures staring from the glass. As the manifestations grew stronger, Robert documented every chilling detail, gathering evidence that would unsettle even the most hardened skeptic. Along the way, he uncovered something even more shocking—he could communicate with the spirits that had crossed into his home. From playful presences to darker, more menacing entities, 'The Portal Mirror' captures the unfiltered reality of living in a space where the physical and spiritual collide. It is a first-hand account of proof, fear, acceptance, and a warning that once opened, some doorways can never be closed. Step through the portal—if you dare.

About the Author

Hello everyone,
My name is Robert Shaun Clarkin. I was born on April 25, 1986, in Staten Island, NY. I lived with my mother, Frances, my father, Robert, and my sister, Amanda. I attended a Private School throughout my schooling years. I have worked with individuals of all ages with all different types of disabilities. When I was 25, I decided to go to school to become an EMT, which I did for 14 years. I have one nephew, one niece, and my brother-in-law. In 2018, we packed up and moved to Marlboro, NJ, where I switched companies, from New York to New Jersey, where I worked from 2018 to 2024 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital as an EMT and Preceptor.
When my mother passed away, and asked to show me that she was still with me, I did not know the can of worms I was opening.
Do I regret it?
ABSOLUTELY, but having this “gift” has helped me be a better person and help those who need that closure. I want to continue this journey, this experience with others, and show people that yes, there is another world or worlds that only some will be able to see, and show them we are not freaks or evil.
