¿The Power of Now¿in 30 minutes,¿ states one should not succumb

“The Power of Now…in 30 minutes,” states one should not succumb to their thoughts, for they are only thoughts. That is easier said than done of course, but the point it’s making is not to think you are your thoughts. Everyone has “crazy” thoughts, or emotional thoughts, etc. The point of this book is advising of Tolle’s words to not be drowned by all your thoughts, and instead to just accept them for what they are…just thoughts. This doesn’t mean over analyze every thought you have, but instead just be aware of these thoughts and decide for yourself how you want to let your own thoughts (whether it be negative or positive thinking,) effect you.

After reading the Power of Now in 30 minutes, I’m left with a strong feeling of living too much within the past and not dwelling enough on what is going on with the present – with what is directly in front of me. This to me is extremely important in reaching a peaceful and more enlightened self and I’m not sure this would have resonated with me as much until I read this book. The suggestions sprinkled throughout this book can really teach you on getting a hold of your true self and stepping out of the racing mind that we all tend to be drowned with in our day-to-day lives.

Where do you spend your time? Past...present...future? An edite

Where do you spend your time? Past...present...future? An edited version of Eckert Tolle's full length self-help guide is presented here through four key concepts: The Mind Is Not The Self, The Pain-Body, Living In The Now, and Enlightenment. Garamond Press' 30-minute version provides a number of pertinent examples to readers. Freeing ourselves from meaningless chatter about the past and future prohibits us from fully realizing our NOW moment. Readers are encouraged to "watch" their own thoughts instead of participating in them. The author suggests simply acknowledging thoughts in lieu of controlling them. Considering problems as just situations can potentially remove emotional reactions from each experience and can help readers more fully enjoy the present moment.

Eckhart Tolle’s The Power of One is nicely analyzed in the shorter version, The Power of Now…in 30 Minutes.  The author imparts valuable insights into how we have the power to bring positive change into our lives.  Understanding our true selves by acknowledging past hurts, eliminating our mind of all the “clutter,” being aware of all that is around and within us, and knowing that the “present” is all that matters, are the major tenets of Tolle’s book.  Read it NOW!

If you have been curious about reading The Power of Now by Eckha

If you have been curious about reading The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle but have been hesitant to spend the time on the full volume, you should try this great overview. This book takes you through the key concepts with examples, applications, and thoughts to take away from each, in a clear and concise way that really makes it easy to understand and apply to your own life. It makes some difficult concepts seem fairly simple and I find myself re-reading it over and over again because of that fact. I would recommend it to anyone who has considered doing any reading in this field as a great place to start.
