I didn't intend to buy this book, it just jumped out at me from the stacks. I had already asked God the question. What do I need do next to take my spiritual life to the next level? I didn't know that much about fasting, and after reading several pages, I realized God was inviting me to take up the challenge to enter into a more intimate relationship with him. The book is truly a godsend for me, thank you Jesus. If you want to get at the heart of who you are as a christian, fasting and praying is a must at some point in your life, regardless of buying this book. But, it is a great source overall explaining all the why's, and he shares his testimonies from when he first started fasting and praying to present day. And, since I live in Brooklyn, NY, he mentions his visit to the Brooklyn Tabernacle on Fulton & Smith Streets, where I have also been in attendance. Peace and blessings on your spiritual journey!
