Overview

A BARNES AND NOBLE TOP 15 AND AMAZON TOP 100 EROTICA BESTSELLER!

Samantha Fox is awkward, clumsy and totally in need of a new boyfriend by this weekend. Her younger, prettier sister is getting engaged . . . and all set to make “old maid big sister” Sam feel all crummy and shelved.

Enter Brian Morton. He is bewilderingly gorgeous, fantastically rich, razor-tongued snarky and utterly promiscuous. He was also the bully who made Sam’s middle school life a living hell.

A series of bizarre circumstances culminates in Brian losing a bet. His punishment? To be Sam’s slave for the weekend . . . and to do anything she wants. Sam has just found her pretend boyfriend for her sister’s party. And Brian has just found that the woman he used to call ‘Jaws’ in school (for her braces) packs a helluva bite.

THE PRETEND BOYFRIEND is a 25,000-word erotic romance short novel. It chronicles the cat-and-mouse start of Sam and Brian’s unusual but engaging romance.

Note: This is an updated version. The grammatical errors and typos have been corrected.

READ AN EXCERPT

Caleb looks up. “Uh oh.”

Brian turns his head to gaze at what his best friend is looking at.

A thundercloud of a woman storms into the poker room. She has a mass of appealing brown curls that make her look blow-dried and ditzy, but nevertheless extremely attractive. She has a cute button nose, so he would guess her age to be under twenty-five. Her complexion is slightly freckled. She gives off the aura of being passionate, robust and healthy – with a clear zest for life.

And her eyes. She has the most incredibly mesmerizing eyes. They are a vivid blue, and so large that he thinks he can drown in them forever.

Careful, he warns himself.

Oh boy, but she’s so fuckable. He wonders if she would make a pass at him – in which case, he would drag her into the pool room, clear everyone out and fuck her on the table immediately amid all the colored balls rolling around. Hell yeah, he can even imagine the table creaking and groaning under their collective weights. Balls rushing into their pockets everywhere as he sinks himself repeatedly into her.

It’s amazing. He had just fucked somebody a mere hour ago, and he now has a raging hard-on under the table. The familiar rising of his cock sends the entire crotch area of his jeans into massive strain. Enough strain to pop his zipper.

But he can’t help it. Whoever this woman is, she’s just fucking adorable.

She’s staring at him.

Great.

Her eyes flash blue fire as she strides up to him, still seated at the poker table. Everyone’s eyes are riveted upon her.

“Brian Morton?” she says.

Behind her, a gaggle of women – including the brunettes who were eyeing him from the bar and the blonde he had just fucked – troop into the room, hanging around the doorway bemusedly to watch.

“Yes?”

“Did you go to St. Theresa Academy? Around thirteen years ago?”

“Give or take a few, yeah.”

She’s very close to him. He can smell her perfume – a light summer scent that brings daisies and bright meadows to mind. He smiles up at her. That cocksure, predatory smile that renders women, so he has been told, weak at the knees.

Oh, she wants him. He can tell.

She says, “Good. Because there’s something I want to give you.”

With that, she draws back her fist and punches him right in the face.

    Good until the end...

There are quite a few spelling and grammatical errors. Annoying but the actual writing and story was fairly good. I started getting into the book but then it just ends! It seems unfinished, like the author got tired of writing and just stopped before she finished her story.

Not worth it! Has potential but not there!

It's a really short book with grammar and spelling errors. The storyline had potential but it was missing depth to it. The author tended to move on to new scenes without a transition or more description on how the characters got there, all of a sudden they somewhere else. It just didn't flow right. The ending sucks too, I felt like it just ended, does that mean there's a sequel? If there is I'm not buying it.

this book is horrible, it really needed to be edited for grammer. the author jumped all over the place on point of view and the characters were extremely 1 dimensional. complete waste of money.

This is rated 15 on B&N best sellers list, yet it is given only one and a half star. Does not make any sense. I have never seen such a low rating on a book.

    Very disappointed!

Im usually a fan of her books but this one was just bad! The "alpha male" had NO redeeming qualities & the ending was just horrible. Grammatical errors were everywhere, which is a huge pet peeve of mine. It was a great premise but she could have done much better.

    3.5 really

the story was really good. had the girl who feels shadowed by her younger sister and felt forever alone. then one lucky night she runs into her middle school bully, best revenge ever. the only thing I wasnt too happy about was the ending, it left it really open and had you questioning a bit too much for my tast.

    how did this get published?

Is english the authors second language? This is awful. I am only 20 pages in and it is full of missing words and sentences that just dont make sense. "the redhead at the bar is tweezing her hair"???? really, tweezing her hair, at a bar? I find it interesting that the reviews i read before buying the book were good, but when i clicked on write a review all the bad ones popped up....hmmm. What a waste, wasnt even worth 3 dollars. only gave it a star because the system wouldnt take the review without it.

    Meh

I feel like this story has been written a dozen times before with better results. By no means is it unreadable but it sort of lacks any original material to set it apart. I'm also getting really tired of the clumsy awkward girl who gets forced together with the uber one dimensional sex addict "alpha male" but for some COMPLETELY UNKNOWABLE REASON finds him attractive. My favorite part of the book was the cover art- it tricked me with its fun-ness.

    Great Book !

I couldn't put it down !! I Love the spicy Books I get from your store. I would just like to add, I'm new to the NOOK I wish I knew how to put the Books I've read into a place of their own instead of all of them together I have a hard time deciding if the titles are books I want to read or ones I've already read. I usually order a couple at a time. Thanks for your Time "Happy Holiday's"
