I really enjoyed this novella! I would defiantly recommend this to any Selection fans.

This novella is about Maxon and what things looked like from his perspective. It gives you a look into what happened before and at the start of the Selection.  It ended too soon for me. I won’t tell you where it ended but I know if you loved The Selection you will love this (even if it is too short). ¿

I really hope Kiera Cass puts more novellas out from his perspective. I loved knowing what was going on in his head when he was with America.

    TEAM MAXON

I mean think about it. Maxon the perfect guy who just also happens to be a prince, or Aspen who just broke her heart and now comes back after it is known that she has money. Think on it.

Fabulous way to change things up!

I don't usually read these Novella books, however, I made an exception for this one- due to my deep and vast love for The Selection. And let me tell you, this story DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! This short story opens the readers eyes to what might really be going on inside The Prince's mind. Great story! I am so excited to read The Elite now! MUST READ!

It was great getting to read Maxon's point of view, but I wish it hadn't ended so soon.  That is my only complaint.  (I know it's a novella so it's supposed to be short, but I found six chapters to be way too short)  I wish there was more!!  Overall it was great though and I'm really glad I read it.  Hopefully Kiera will write more from Maxon soon! I love hearing his thoughts and his side of the story.        I definitely recommend that fans of the Selection read this.

The Prince is a nice addition to The Selection series. We get a brief glimpse of how Maxon sees the whole ordeal and what he feels about it.

Maxon was the same Maxon we all love from The Selection and The Elite. I don't really feel like I know him better. If anything, I feel like his portrayal in the first two books was well done. Miss Cass has already communicated his personality very well.

It was interesting to see all of his insecurities when it came to the Selection. Of course, who came blame the poor guy for getting nervous? 35 chicks were coming to live in the same building. Yes, it's huge. But still, the palace has been his home all his life and now they're invading.

The one thing that did surprise me was how much he wanted to please his father and seemed to love him. I expected him to be a little more resentful or angry.

My favorite parts had to be Maxon's interactions with America. I was really eager to see those first few through his eyes. Actually, I was kind of hoping to see the first four. I can only imagine what his POV would be when it comes to their first date....

The Prince was a nice little extra to have and I'm looking forward to reading The Guard.

    Team Maxon!!!!

I really hope America chooses Maxon because Aspen never understood that America didn't care that he was a 6. Aspen left her and now he doesn't deserve her. Maxon understands America and would do anything for her! Maxon is deffinately who America should end up with!!!! BTW i think even if Aspen were the prince and maxon was the 6, but they still acted the same around America, AMERICA SHOULD STILL CHOOSE MAXON crown or no crown America should choose Maxon.

Perfect Addition to The Selection Novels

I was really excited when I saw that this was a prequel to THE SELECTION and couldn't wait to "meet" the infamous Prince Maxon.

What I liked: I always enjoy watching a story unfold from another character's POV and this one was especially fun because it's Prince Maxon. We get a peek at what his life is really like and the pressure he's under, not only to choose a wife but to please his parents.

What left me wanting: Nothing, although I could've read an entire book from Prince Maxon's POV.

Final verdict: If you haven't read THE SELECTION yet, I suggest starting with this one.
