    Not the Disney version!

In all the children's books and Disney movies, the princess has to kiss the frog and he turns into a prince. I did not know until today that the original Grimm "Frog Prince" story tells that the princess threw the frog against a wall in a fit of temper, and when he hit the floor he turned into a prince. No kissing required. I just got my old, big, heavy, book down and read it in the original "Grimm's Fairy Tales." This may not be the version you'd want for kids because it is only 4 pages and no pictures, and you're going to have to explain why the ending is "wrong." It is the original old English language style which will need some explanation as you go along. Overall, I wish I had kept my 99 cents.
