Overview

A dragon's desire will burn for a thousand years...

Timid Diana Winters doesn't get much excitement, until she goes for a hike in the woods and is attacked by the trees.

Like out of a fairytale nightmare they uproot themselves and go on the offensive, and she is chased through the forest before tumbling down a waterfall, only to wake up in the bed of the most gorgeous man she's ever seen, who claims to be a dragon lord, and her husband who killed her a thousand years ago on their wedding day!

Lord Azoth Dracamire vows to never have meant her any harm. Someone put a potion in his goblet on the day of their marriage, and he has paid for it every day since for a thousand years.

Although Diana struggles with the physical pull she feels towards him and Azoth's obvious lust for her, one thing is certain: someone sent those monsters after her in the forest, and they still want her dead. Now she must decide if her new and conflicting emotions towards her husband, a man she doesn't know, are worth risking her life.

This was a different kinda story then what I've normally read. I enjoyed this story. Diana is a woman that now lives in this century. She does't know of any previous lives that she has lived. While enbarking on a hike in the woods of a park to paint her " perfect scene" she hears a voice telling her to run. Diana doesn't know if her imagination is running away with her or not, so she runs. Dianna comes to in a cave and in someone's bed. She doesn't know what happened nor who's bed she is in till her Husband comes to her. Azoth is a man/dragon that see's his long lost wife in his bed. He is overjoyed at once again being with Diana until he realizes that Diana doesn't know who he is. Azoth has been sent to his cave as punishment for killing all of Diana's family including Diana! As Diana struggles to remember Azoth and the past, visions come to her to help her remember. Finally the mystery is solved in all its wonder. Very interesting story. I'd like to take the time and find more of Mandy's stories.

I really enjoy the story concept, however I've found the book difficult to read. It is written in a personal conversational tone with no filters. Some of the thoughts are not specified as thoughts, but as something we need to decipher. Also, there are 'vulgarities' where they do not enhance the story, add to identifying a character's traits or are otherwise useful. In some areas they actually detract from the story significantly. I don't want to give away much of the story as I believe the author has a great idea, however there are some time line issues within memories that seem to blur as well. It is possible I missed details due to the writing style, but what I was able to identify did appear to blur and blend in some areas. The author has a fabulous idea with this story. She knows where she wants it to go and I believe with what I've seen within it, if she tweaks style just slightly, she'll have a true masterpiece. I'm considering purchasing this book direct from the distributor to see if it is updated so I am able to read this polished into the masterpiece I know is waiting to happen.

This was really a short novella and not a book. (Just over 200 pages.) This story had so much potential but ended up lacking in so many ways. First of all, there were so many errors it was almost like reading something that had been poorly translated to English by a terrible computer program. Then, it felt like it was being written by a man trying to write from a feminine perspective and just not getting it. Which was such a shame because I loved the plot of the story, the characters, the whole IDEA of the book. It just really needs a lot more work before it's really novel-worthy. I just kept trying to imagine how the story would have went if someone like P.C. Cast, Christine Feehan, or Kresley Cole would have written it. I would love to see this story get revamped with more details, more information and chapters on the surrounding characters, sub-plots, etc. It could be a truly amazing book. I wanted chapters from Azoth's point of view, the Dragon's pov, the villain's pov, etc.

I loved this book i would reccomend it to anyone. I just wish it was longer so they could go into more detail. Only 200 pages kinda sucks but it was still great. More for a teenage or adult book not for kids. Great job!!!!!!

After you remember who you are, do you know who is trying to kill you and why? Read and find the answers in this whimsical fantasy. Good read.

This book was really great. Love the part in the cave and flashbacks. Really good plot. Tiny misspelled words in couple of chapters, but I understand the whole story. Love it with the dragon!!! A-.

My only problem is that I wish it had been longer but otherwise it's an excellent read.

I had problems following this one. Too many odd characters popping in and too much back an forth in time.

It's been a while since I read a fantasy/dragon/fae fiction so I figured 80 pages wouldn't be so bad. But I was wrong. Apart from the fact that the language would make you cringe; the story is told in the form of flasbacks and it is beyond convoluted! This book definitely needs editing.

Loved it!! A great adventure and hot romance!! Once again, Ms. Rosko has wrote a very good book! Imagination flows through this book as she brings together her characters. Azoth and Dianna are perfect for one another. If only she would realize it!! A great read means a great writer!! Thanks!
