Overview

Luke Price and Violet Hayes haven't seen each other in a couple of months, not since they discovered Luke's mother's connection to Violet's parent's murders. But when Luke gets into some gambling trouble with the wrong people, destiny decides to throw the two of them together and they head out to Vegas to try and settle Luke's debt.

As Violet spends time with Luke, she becomes torn on whether she should be with him. She definitely can't deny that her life is better when she's with Luke and she starts to wonder if going back to Preston was a mistake.

Things seem to be going well as Violet opens up more to Luke, but then she gets a call from the detective, not only to give an update on Mira Price and the case, but to give information about some threatening texts she's been getting. The information is not only shocking, but makes Violet question what kind of people her parents really where and whether she'll be able to trust anyone ever again.

    Good story,but....

I really liked this story, and will read the next one. But i had two issues with the book. First, it was only 137 pages long. Secondly, it was very unpolished. The multiple use of wrong words (to/too, then/than, and just plain wrong words), and the shoddy punctuation were very, very distracting. If this was the first book i had read by her, i would not be picking up another one. But like i said, i will read the next in series, and i really hope for a more finished product.

    Great Storyline

The love story between Luke and Violet is truly amazing. The author does a very good job in character development, as well as adding twist and turn to the plot making it more interesting.
My only issue with this book and also the previous one is the presence of too many grammatical errors. Note to author:Have others proofread it several times before publication please!

    Awesome

Can't wait for the next book. I absolutely love Jessica Sorensen's books. As for the people complaining about the number of pages, my nook says 137 pgs. but if you watch the page count when you flip pages you will see that for just about every page number their are actually 2 pages before the count changes which would make the count over 270 pgs. Therefore, I don't think $4.99 is too unreasonable.

    Highly Recommend

This was probably my favorite of this series so far. Be prepared to cry, because I sure did. There were moments when I wanted to smack both Violet and Luke because of the thing they were saying/doing or what they weren't saying/doing. Both characters had such horrible childhoods and they deserve to have happiness. Can't wait to see how this story plays out. I only wish that Callie and Kayden were in this part of the series more; as well as, I hope that in the rest of Callie and Kayden's story she incorporates Violet and Luke.

    RECOMMEND

Would have been a 5....Ok the story is good, I love the mystery aspect, but really... as short as it is why can't it take place over say 2 books instead of 3 (or maybe more). I understand breaking a normal size novel into shorter books is going to get you more money, but how long is your readers going to accept that? This could have been a nice, long, good book ya know...That would be refreshing. Just venting here

    Jessica did it again!

I have to admit, the beginning of the luke and violet story was pretty boring, but wow, did it quickly take flight. I read the callie and kayden books and was always intrigued by lukes character, so I when I found that this series is about him, I was hooked. And im always a sucker for the whole, bad boy turns good thing. I absolutley adore this book. It kept me frustrated and guessing, which I love. Violets rough and tough persona was great too,and I was on the edge of my seat through out the whole book and at the end, I cried with shock. Jessica sorenson is one talented author, therefore I easily over looked the many gramatical errors through out the book. Simply amazing!

    4.5 out of 5 stars

The Probability of Violet & Luke is the fourth book in Jessica Sorensen's The Coincidence series. It picks up two months after Violet and Luke learned that they not only cannot escape their dark pasts, but that their pasts are in fact connected in the worst possible way. Violet and Luke each struggle in their own way to move on. Luke drinks heavily and gets himself into sticky gambling situations while Violet has returned to slimy Preston to do his bidding and who knows what else.

Luke is spiraling downward and Violet is struggling not to leap from the nearest open window. They are miserable without each other. But, a strange twist of fate throws them into a tight spot, and the two have to figure out if it really is better to face the world together or apart. Is love enough, or will their pasts continue to ruin their futures?

The Probability of Violet & Luke is a fast-paced read, and the characters are full of grit. You want to root for them, to see them finally happy and hopefully together, but life just continually gets in the way. Blow after blow, they stumble, but they at least stumble toward each other, which is what keeps the reader engaged. Sorensen gives us some hope as this book comes to a close, but there are still many unanswered questions. Plus, an intriguing plot twist sets us up for another entry in Violet and Luke's story, which is both frustrating and thrilling at once.

We'll have to wait until the Violet and Luke book to hopefully know if they finally beat the odds and choose to make their own destiny together; but I'm looking forward to finding out what comes next for these two characters.

One thing to note: there are some typos and repeated lines throughout the novel, but it is worth looking past them.

The Probability of Violet & Luke is a fun, quick read and one of the better books in The Coincidence series in my opinion. I definitely recommend it for your summer reading list.
