Overview

Community One is a government experiment. The purpose of which is to produce genetically – enhanced super athletes for the Prominence Baseball League. From the outside looking in, it should be obvious that the residents of this community are slaves to their sport. Everyone remains captive from birth until death unless they can advance through the levels of play and be selected for the Prominence League.

However, what the youth of Community One do not realize is that once in the Prominence League, life can be much worse. When Carriane and Caleb start to question their leaders and realize all is not what it seems, the sparks of a revolution begin. It is a revolution that connects heroes both young and old in an adventure of love, sacrifice, and baseball.

Meet the Author

C. David Cannon is an elementary school teacher, and father of three. He lives with his children and wife of fourteen years in Humble, Texas. Having grown up under tumultuous circumstances where he bounced between homelessness and a foster group home, he fiercely devotes his time to make sure his children never have to endure the same. The Prominence League was inspired by his two boys who both play at the highest level of year – round select baseball in Texas. Both as a coach and parent, Cannon has seen the craziness that often encompasses this little microcosm of our society. With several more books planned for this series, it is needless to say that writing for a young audience is his passion.
