Overview

In the weeks following Aidan's betrayal, Emma has tried her best to move on. Ignoring his countless texts, voice mails, and flowers, she isn't sure she wants to be won back by him. But Aidan isn't going down without a fight—especially not until Emma lets him reveal the secret of his past that caused him to be so commitment phobic.

But fate intervenes when premature labor forces Emma on strict bed rest for two weeks. Aidan steps forward with a shocking proposal. To prove his love and commitment for her and their unborn son, he will take a leave of absence from work to care for her around the clock. Vowing to guard her heart, Emma reluctantly agrees.

While she is touched by Aidan's attentiveness and tender loving care, Emma is thrown for a loop by the amorous attentions of ER doctor, Alpesh "Pesh" Nadeen. Pesh is everything Emma could ever want—successful, stable, and ready to settle down and be a husband and father. Pesh wants nothing more than to win Emma's heart, but she is not sure she's able to give it.

    Who writes these glowing reviews...

Part one was better. This was okay but as a stand alone not even close to the epic description of a love story it is getting from hopefully independent reviewers. This exemplifies once again the bad business model of stretching a story into parts so that you can charge the consumer more money. The expectation for subsequent installments is greater and usually not met.

    Liked it

I agreee with many of the reviewers that the first book was better. I didn't connect with the characters as I did in the first book. It was still an enjoyable book, but I thought it would have been better if the author had completed the story in one book. This trend of spreading a story over multiple books needs to stop.

I had to read this book because I loved the The Proposition and I HAD to now what happened next.

Aidan tries to get Emma back, but she is in no hurry to get him her heart back after he chattered it.
He needs to prove to her he can be trusted and he really wants a life with her and their baby.

Throw in their a sexy doctor that is interested in Emma... and Aidan has is work cut out for him.

this was a great read and a nice follow up to the first book. I really Enjoy reading it!!

Not as good as I wanted it to be

Well, I was looking forward to this one and it disappointed. In a way I am not surprised, because I knew it was going to be difficult to get these two together after how things ended in book 1. Still I had high hopes that the author would make it happen. It didn't. I guess you still want to read it if you read book 1 and you liked it. It does bring resolution. But don't expect a terrific storyline and good character development.

I loved the first book was very dissappointed with this one. The last half was very boring and very predictable. Really sad because the first book was good. She could have added a few more chapters to finish the story and it would have been much better.

It is moments like these where I have to be honest with a review. I loved The Proposition and remember wanting to build a time machine so that I could leap to the date when The Proposal was going to be released and I didn’t have to wait for it. I was so ready to start this book and just be in as much as love with it as I was the first, but unfortunately, I wasn’t. Honestly, I can’t really explain why. I have some theories: maybe I waited too long between the books and had a hard time connecting with the characters again, or maybe it was just me this time and something didn’t click. Whatever it was, I just didn’t feel the same while reading. And I feel so bad that I didn’t connect with it. I really, really do.

I still love Emma and Aidan. You know from the moment they got together in The Proposition that they were meant to be together for life. This book allowed me to see the strain on their relationship from Aidan’s inability to commit and how far he was willing to go to get Emma back. It was so sweet. He truly stepped up in this book. And I loved Emma’s pregnancy hormones throughout the book. One minute she wanted Aidan and the next she hated his guts. I thought Pesh’s arrival was a great addition to the plot line because he made both Emma and Aiden realize what they truly wanted. Plus, he was just a great guy.

    Horrible

First book was good, this second one could have been finished in two more chapters of the first book. I found myself skimming page after page just to end the torture of this book.

Love Emma and Aiden!! I wish there was more. I loved reading about Aiden's growth as a man. His family is amazing and showed him love and support. Emma fits perfectly with them. My fave is that Emma's grandpa bonds with Aiden over a shared experience.
