Overview

With her thirtieth birthday looming, Emma Harrison finds her biological clock clanging and the elusive knight in shining armor yet to appear. She’s running out of options, especially after her gay best friend backs out from being her sperm donor. Of course, there’s always a sperm bank, but Emma fears a donor mix-up might impregnate her with the spawn of Satan.

Resident company womanizer, Aidan Fitzgerald, is used to always getting what he wants, especially in the bedroom. When Emma spurns his advances at the company Christmas party, he's determined to have her no matter what it takes. After Aidan learns of Emma's predicament, he is quick to offer a proposition that will benefit them both. He will father Emma's child, but she must conceive it with him naturally. Not one for hook-ups or casual sex, Emma is reluctant to take him up on his offer, but his charm, coupled with her intense desire for motherhood, wins out.

Soon their baby-making sessions become more than just physical. Aidan can't seem to walk away from her while Emma begins to wonder if Aidan could be the one. But can Aidan leave his past behind to become the man Emma needs him to be

This was a truly great book BUT the ending! This book leaves you hanging until March 2013. You do not know the end until then and that pisses me off.

I love this book, it was well written, not filled with nonessential information. It has a great flow to it and I couldn't seem to put it down. It truly kept me wanting to read more ! My biggest complaint is that it' s in two parts and I have to wait til March for the other half. If I had know it was a two parter, I probably would have waited to read the first so I could have read them consectively. With that being my only complaint I'm left impatiently waiting for the next one and will probably have to reread this one to contine the flow. The autor is talentd and I look forward to reading more of her books. I don't remember being forwarned about this book being in two parts but would have appreciated knowing so beforehand.

Loved the book! Well written, sexy, a bit of an unusual subject. Both characters seem fully developed and like real people. A hot hero, a shy heroine, and great chemistry between them. It does have an annoying cliffhanger ending, but there is a book 2 out! Yay!

I loved this book. I read a lot, and this book got my heart pounding in my chest, crying and laughing. I seriously can't wait until March 15th for the next book to come out.

I had high hopes for this book. By the end I was glad it was done. Cliche in area's, overly predictable throughout and overall just flat. I mean seriously the agreement portion was too easy, the transition from agreement to wanting more to love was ridiculously simple. I expected more. Three stars for writing and tone.

There were things I liked about this book and others I didn't. The main character Emma was waaaayyy too emotional and cried too much for me. That was annoying. I liked the premise and plot of the book though.

OMG you left me hanging. WHY?

Its only half of a story.

Guess I should have realized from the write up that it wouldn't interest me since I'm not obsessed with babies. But I was still hoping for a good story with interesting characters. I gave up about half way through when I realized all the manipulation and coercion that was going on. Not interested in continuing with this author.

This story is not that bad but do not pay attention to the rave reviews. I have read many books like this and quite a number of them were better. Its not bad, but its not great. Also keep in mind, it doesn"t really end. There is a part two (or more) that you have to pay for. I will not buy it/them because I can already tell what is going to happen. If you do get this and read it, realize this is total fiction. Over 200 pages long.

You haven't read The Proposition yet?!  You don't know what your missing.  I fell in love! In love with the story and the characters. This book is funny, it is romantic, it is sexy, it is sweet with the right dose of drama and angst thrown in. Oh the sweet agony of two people struggling against the inescapable fact that they belong together! Everything that an avid reader of the smexy genre could want.  The ending will leave you absolutely wanting more. Don't worry Book #2 is called The Proposal and available now.

Maybe I prefer books written from first person point of view, but something about this book left me feeling like there was more to be desired.

It reads more like a partial book then one of a series. The ending is left too open. I liked Aiden but feel like the heroine at 29 is too young to worry about her biological clock. A good read just leaves you hanging.

I though it was a good book. The third person story telling is the only think that got me.

I couldn't get into it. It was predictable, the main character was too emotionally unstable, and the pregnancy unrealistic.

Started out promising and ended with a floppy, sloppy, boring cliffhanger.

To my definition, a book is a complete story. A story has a start, a middle, and an end. Anything else is an episodic serial, like edge of night daytime soap. Before taking this bait, be prepared to get episode 2 followed by ... well, who knows how episodes. Too bad the author couldn't be up-front.

I felt cheated that the book ended the way it did. I purposely chose this book because it was listed as a one book-no sequeals!! Too much of the F word which dislike.
