The Q Quest has all the ingredients required to cook up a fast-paced and engaging thriller that plays out on an international stage. The story never stops to catch its breath. It moves at a rapid clip between exotic locations in Turkey and Egypt, prestigious universities and the South Carolina backwoods compound of a  dangerous band of religious extremists. Colene Mooney, a feisty Biblical scholar, emerges as an intelligent, passionate and thoroughly irresistible heroine for our times. She manages to stumble her way into any number of dangerous situations in relentless pursuit of the truth and a good man. Several complex and twining threads weave throughout the novel, coalescing at the end in a dramatic conclusion that both satisfies and begs for a sequel. The reader wants more of Colene, her Turkish lover Orhan, and their quest for an elusive lost Biblical text. Frank Araujo is a gifted writer with a good story to tell. He brings a unique and eclectic melange of skills and life experience to this timely tale of good and evil, scientific truth pitted against fanatical zeal, and in the midst of it all, the quest for abiding human connections.
