    After, not before

If I had read this before the entire series it would have thrown off the need and intrigue I had throughout the series I believe. The first six made me completely fall in love with the characters and this offers the story we slowly learned about through the first six. Still as amazing as the first six, but I stand by after and not before...

    BLADE

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this series. Although, one must read all of the books to continue the saga. The same holds true for the Chronicle Series. These books are very entertaining.

    EXCELLENT!

My sister & I have not been able to put these books down! This story will have you laughing, crying & holding your breath! If you loved the series, then you will love this!

Spoiler: I would recommend NOT reading this or the other pre-quel until you have read the series! It sounds weird but I think that if you read the first it takes away from the mystery that surrounds Blade in the books. If you haven't read the series, read it first & then come back!

"A" number one reading entire series for fantasy sci fi fans.

I have read the entire series over a two week period. I had real problem putting it down to do the things I was scheduled to accomplish. I absolutely whole heartedly reccommend T.C Southwell and intend to read other books by this author.

So a prequel is a story about a character (in this case Blade) that happened before the events in the original book(s) took place and then the author figured out (during the writting of the series) that it would be a good idea (and further money maker) to delve further into the main character's life before he became a killer. I wonder if this was the author's originaly plan (to write prequels) or if it really did just occur to her later. It seems to me that she figured this out writing the fifth or sixth book because she references Conash: Dead Son and God Touched in book six. Hmm. Whatever, I intend to read both prequels, I just hope it doesn't turn me away from the images I have of the character's I've loved through six books!

    Should Read First

The Queen's Blade was a great read. If a knew, I would have read the two prequels first. The entire series was very good.

I read all the Blade Series and then came back to Conash The Prequels I & II ... The stories are so engrosing that you are never disappointed. Blades' character is so complex and realistic that you will easily fall in love with him.
