Good 'story' but written "Out of Sequence". The first book, "The Queen's Blade" begins in the 'middle' of his story and concludes with the sixth book only to have the first part of his story revealed in the 'Prequels'. All-in-all, it works. I DO recommend anyone contemplating this series read the books 'in order', Queen's Blade, Queen's Blade II (Sacrifice, Queen's Blade III (Invisible Assassin), Queen's Blade IV (Sacred Knight of the Veihl), Queen's Blade V (Master of the Dance), and Queen's Blade VI (Lord Protector), and THEN, Queen's Blade Prequel 1 (Conash of the Cats), and Queen's Blade Prequel 2 (God Touched)...

Started reading because first book was free, by the time was finished couldn't wait to read the whole series. Have recommend to a couple friends. You fall a little in love with Conash and can understand as you read on why he is like he is.

It kind of gives some in depth look into the characters, mainly "Blade".

Terrific!! The series has been wonderful! You can't go wrong getting & reading this series! You won't be disappointed! Spoiler: I would NOT read the pre-quels first! Start with the first book which is STILL FREE! You have nothing to lose by getting the 1st book in the series, FREE & the reading the others. I can tell you, you will be buying the rest! Sometimes the story gets a little predictable, but I have NEVER seen another series this long that has been worth reading & keeps your interest!
