Meet the Author

Not being someone who likes writing about himself, anyway here goes.I live in England and spend most of my days working as a marketing consultant for theme parks. In my spare time I write and have two new books out, 'Teen Cops' and 'Albert theQueen's Cat.' My publisher Barny Books are relatively small in the grand scheme of things, but are good at nurturing new writing talent. I hope that includes me? I started writing stories for younger children about 10 years ago and have progressed into teen fiction, where I think my talent is probably better suited. Don’t get me wrong I’d love to write the next ’50 Shades of Grey’ and there’s plenty of time for that.I enjoy working for a living and being around other people not just to get inspiration for new ideas, but also to pay the bills as the writing is not a big bread winner, just yet. To be honest I find that being creative can be a curse sometimes, as your mind is often full of new story ideas. For example I am working on the outline for a new Zombie book. Like there aren't enough Zombie books already, but my idea is different so please watch this space. Please get in touch via email if you have any questions - david@teencops.com

    If you love cats....

....you'll love this book. I found the story quite charming, but the illustrations were what captivated me most, to be completely honest. As children's books go, however, I feel this book definitely falls under the heading of bearing many repetitions of reading aloud, before boredom would ever become an issue. Truly, a fun read.
