I must admit that I have never quite read a western story like this one. However, that said, I hard a hard time putting it down. It was a good read.

This was an entertaining read that required little to no thought. A book like this is nice when life gets fast. I would reccomend it to evening readers.

Awesome short story! I have read his other short stories & I liked this one the best! While not original, the characters & plot grabbed you. It was really good & the ending wasn't quite what I expected. This is a great read! Check it out! Read this next time you go camping around the campfire & no one will be going to sleep with happy dreams!

I can imagine sitting around a campfire while someone tells this tale. I wasn't sure about the blend of cowboys and zombies, but this story left me with chills up my spine. 82 pages

Having just read two other of Mr. Leckman's stories, I wanted more. I was, however, reluctant to read this genre. Much to my surprise though, I could not put this story down. I found it quite enjoyable.

The story itself is good. I'm just easily off-put by simple grammar errors that should have been caught before publication. Such as then/than errors, toward/towards, and one in particular: "He through down his guns..."

Mr. Leckman is an extremely talented writer. This story has great horror, mixed with good narrative and engaging characters. I've read 3 of his short stories so far - "Anasazi", "They Don't Exist" and this one. While all have been very enjoyable, this has been my favorite so far. Keep up the great work, Mr. Leckman. I've definitely become a fan.

This mixture of old west meets Lovecraftian horror is an entertaining jaunt, if you don't expect too much from it. Good, but not great.

Most people don't understand that writing a short story can be much more difficult then even writing a novel. You have less time to "grow" your charictors and to set the mood. Mostly, it's much harder to realize your ending in such a small space of time. This book absolutly does everything any type of story needs. It grabs your interest from the get go. It keeps your interest by shocking you with unxpected twists and turns. The ending is both played out in a terror filled world and one of peace. Very satisfying. Now, this is not Updike so don't expect it to be . What it is is a great horror short !!!! You should read it if this type of story is what you enjoy!!!!!!

I really enjoyed this short story. Maybe it could be expanded and we could follow the duo as they crossed the country fighting evil wherever they went. Interesting from start to finish.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the picture as I grew up on a ranch near fairplay and have been to south park city many times, starting in the 60's.

Entertaining, different and somehow less than satisfying. But it was free so what's to complain about. Wish the evil had been explained more and it's link to native American lore been further explored, i.e...thunderbirds.
