About the Author

Bernard “ElkY” Grospellier is a French tournament-poker phenomenon. He was the first player ever to reach “Supernova” and “Supernova Elite” status on PokerStars. In 2008, he won the European Poker Tour’s Caribbean Poker Adventure and the World Poker Tour’s Festa al Lago Tournament at Bellagio. In 2009, he won the 2009 Caribbean Poker Adventure’s $25,000-buy-in High Roller side event and was named WPT Player of the Year. At the European Poker Tour Grand Final in Madrid in May 2011, ElkY won both the $10,000-buy-in High Roller Turbo and $25,000-buy-in High Roller event, cashing more than a US$1 million. In 2011 he won the Seven Card Stud Championship at the WSOP to add a gold bracelet to his list of accomplishments and bring his live-tournament winnings to $7,900,000.

Lee Nelson is a founding member of the Australian Poker Hall of Fame, with live lifetime earnings in excess of $2,000,000. In January 2006, he won the main event at the Aussie Millions and its approximatley US$1,000,000 first prize. Lee also won the 2005 Party Poker World Open and its $400,000 prize. Making final tables with remarkable regularity in international tournaments, Lee’s been dubbed with the nickname “Final Table.”

Tysen Streib has been playing poker since 1998, both online and in live play. He specializes in the mathematical aspects of tournament structures, game theory, and optimal plays. He wrote a majority of the advanced quantitative analysis for the highly popular poker book Kill Everyone. His recent projects include new game design as well as developing artificial intelligences for computer players in both poker and other card/strategy games. He holds an engineering degree, as well as an MBA.

Tony Dunst is a professional live and online tournament poker player and hosts the World Poker Tour’s latest addition, “The Raw Deal.” Tony cashed six times in the 2010 World Series of Poker for a total of $199,962, including a 50th place finish in the WSOP Main Event worth $168,556. Dunst has conducted seminars with Lee Nelson and Joe Hachem, and is a highly respected articulate poker writer, speaker, and analyst.
