the first dragon lance book i ever read was The Soulforge

Raistlin was the first charcater in all of Drg Lnc i ever met and perhaps tht is why i love him so or mayhap it is the fact tht i felt a kindred spirit in him because i too had a sickly childhood and often felt like i was on the sidelines looking on as others my age jumped and ran with the freedom tht belongs to youth alone. The Soulforge and brothers in Arms are but the first 2 books in a long line of books tht take you through the war of the lance i belive the next 1 is time of the twins and then war of the twins and then test of the twins after tht it gets a bit muddle since dragons of an hour glass mage falls sum where in between and the whole dragons of series ms weis put out recently gave more detail to the war of the lance in certain parts but once u have finished all of theos u might consider the war of souls series because tasselhoff plays a staring role with carmon and raistlin doing brief cameo apperance and then of course theres the next geration series tht tells a small side story about the twins trip to the tower of sorcery just b4 raistlin takes his test i belive its about him getting seperated frm carmon and being found and nursed back to health by a mystroius women only to wind up sleeping with her the fruit of said union begets a female child of true power who later goes on to help the child of strum and kitiara (whos story is also in the next gen series) all the while raistlin never knowing about his daughter or her mother due to sum kind of magic on the mothers part i believe so yes if u love raistlin and the characters associated with him these are but a few u might try and find and believe me the search is half the fun

Raistlin was always my favorite character...

Raistlin was always my favorite character in the Dragonlance series. I have ALWAYS wanted more, and now I have it!

I just finished the book, and it was absolutely fantastic! It answers any question you may have about Raistlin's past, and most of Caramon's also.

    The Raistlin Chronicles

This is a wonderful addition to Margaret Weis series. She has done a marvelous job describing the beginning of Raistin life and the other main characters. It allows you to gain an new perspective on the characters from the previous books.
