After finding Mr. McGee's MySpace page and reading the wonderful reviews, I decided to order The Reaper and was utterly surprised at how wonderful and original it really was. After reading a lot of supernatural-horror stories, I can say that this is among the best of the best The Reaper really pulls no punches. I highly recommend this story! And I can' twait to read his new novel, Snow Hill.

I heard Joseph McGee on a Blog Talk Radio show and it got me interested into why people are praising him just for being 23 years old. After reading Reaper, I can see why. His characters come to life, much like Dean Koontz does, and his story elements are a literary wonder. I wasn't a real horror or thriller fan until I read Reaper. Now I'm expanding, and trying to get a hold of anything that McGee has written. Highly recommend it!

When I first read the back of this book and saw that it was compared to Clive Barker, I just had to grab it up. Sure enough, it delieved! This was a great story from up-and-commer, Joseph McGee 'who, as internet has it is doing great things and is sure a rising star in horror literature'. I highly recommend this book to anyone that likes a good scare!
