    Red badge of courage

This is a well written novel of a young man in the depths of a civil war. Descriptions throughout the book show a war torn nation and the man horrors of war. It was hard to follow manly because the names of the characters and words used to describe them were used interchangably. The youth as he is often called leaves his mother for a world he would never forget. Great read but hard to follow.
