This book was actually very useful and set up well so that the slang of different Spanish speaking countries was clear. My only complaint is that I had to get a refund because the file was corrupt and wouldn't go beyond about page 79 out of hundreds of pages. This was verified by a few stores and a conversation online. I had to get a refund but I would definitely purchase it again once the publisher fixes the file.

Over the years I often got frustrated with my studies of Spanish because there would be a half a dozen different translations for the same word with no guidance as to which word was used where. Spanish, after all, is spoken as a primary language in 21 different countries. This innovative book is a thorough guide to idioms and expressions which are used throughout Latin America and Spain. It lists the countries where each expression or idiom is used. It was so much fun to read! It's been an excellent resource for taking my Spanish to the next level. Probably not for beginners but I can definitely see advanced students finding it useful.
