A must read for thoughtful parenting!

As a working mother of 2 "spirited" children, I am always looking for helpful tips to support my own experiences and guide my children. I enjoyed reading this book and know that I will refer back to it as my children grow. The chapters were easy to digest as I nod off after a busy day and the skills for parents are things that I can integrate immediately. I found the dialogue examples helpful to see how some of the techniques play out in the context of stressful situations. And finally, I appreciated the authors honoring the "real" experience of parents and how they made the approaches attainable. Integrating these tools into our daily routine has already helped us avoid many sticky situations. With our busy lives, I will take any help I can get!
