    Novella

Although copyrighted in 2010, this novella first appeared in Analog SF magazine in June of 2000. Although the book's pagination indicates the the first page of the story is page #2, and the last page is page #124, there are only 111 pages of story in the book. For whatever reason, some page numbers are simply skipped.

The story is the first of a series about a type of "detective" who gets paid to find people who have intentionally "disappeared" at a point in the distant future. It is a good story, but the book isn't free, and it isn't 125 pages long.
