The Revelation of Johnby Jonathan Crocker
The Book of Revelation speaks of dark days ahead; of prophecy and apocalyptic visions; of the end of times. While many might laugh off such proclamations, what if I told you that these ancient words speak truth? That four horsemen, both great and terrible, will ride demonic steeds down the streets of our cities? That darkness will wash the sun from the sky? That the moon itself will shine red with blood? That the ground will quiver and shake? That those four riders will sound unholy trumpets and lead the fiery armies of Lucifer upon our virgin world? And who, among we pitiful mortals, will stand against them?
There is one who might have, once; one blessed as a boy, the power of the Almighty coursing through his veins. But the boy is now a man, and the man's faith has wavered. I know not if he has the strength. But he will answer the call, and he will not be alone. Others will walk beside this man, this priest. Will they bolster his resolve? Or will they prove a burden to his cause?
Three companions will they be, those who join with him. One will capture his heart, and teach him to love. One will show him the power of the light, and guide his hand. And I will be the third, one who will challenge his faith; one who will challenge him to accept his place. Our road will be treacherous and fraught with danger. But we will walk it. We will stare down the heralds of the inferno. And with Father John at our lead, we will break the swelling tide of evil; or else be swept away by it, with all the world around us.

It's a great story with just the right amount of suspence to keep me reading late into the night.
