Editorial Reviews

Dr. David H. Goldenberg
The text is a wonderful and dynamic approach to enriching the rewards of teaching, whether the educator is brand new or has years of teaching experience. I believe that the tips and conversation "leads" provided by the the text are excellent examples for use in college classes geared to educate the teachers of the future. The text does an excellent job in the integration of research on teaching translated into a practical approach of how to work with children in the classroom to improve their achievement levels. It is a "must have" for its simplicity and direct help support for educators.
Mariann Schmudde

    I Also Recommend:

A must have for teachers & administrators! The Rewards of Teaching provides a plethora of tips for educators. It has a user-friendly format with great stories of what happens in real classrooms.

Within each of his tips Richman provides quotes and items to reflect upon. In today's teaching profession, we are encouraged to join professional learning communities. This book would be a wonderful way to launch or enhance a professional learning community. It offers the opportunity for self-reflection as well as discussion. One of my favorite things about this book is the ability to pick it up anytime and it inspires me. I will have a bad day of teaching, open the book and it never fails that I find something to lift my spirits. This text is truly inspirational. A must read for anyone interesting in teaching!
