    My Favorite Deck

Although there are many beautiful and creative tarot decks available, I really love the Rider-Waite deck. I have had my own for many years and bought this set for my college aged daughter. So many tarot books and websites refer to the imagery and symbolism used in this deck, I feel it's the best for beginners!

    Terrible book/ Beautiful Cards

The cards are absolutely beautiful! The book is a terrible read. I should have bought the cards by themselves and looked for another book elsewhere.

    Great for learning Tarot

As a beginning Tarot student, these cards have made learning fun. The art itself is beautiful, and the 'stories' suggested by the art are often surprising. It has been the perfect tool for learning the art of Tarot reading.

    An Excellant Beginners deck

The Raider Waite Tarot Deck is the deck that I started learning on and playing with. It's an excellant deck for study and reading too. Highly colorful and accurate in it's depictions.

    Nice First Deck

The Rider-Waite is the deck almost all readers began with. Sometimes I think of this deck as 'Fun with Dick and Jane' for esoterics. The imagery of this deck is very simple artistically, but full of subtle meanings. The illustrated pips are an invaluable tool to the new student in remembering the suggested meanings of the confusing pip cards of the Minor Arcana. This is a nice beginner deck, but once the basics are mastered, it may be time to cast around for more intuitive decks which speak more to the individual spirit. In other words, if you're just starting... start here.

BEST Basic STUDY of TAROT Tool - Rider-Waite

When studied in an organized step-by-step approach to experience a meaningful development in the skills of the TAROT, best begin with the Rider-Waite Tarot Deck. Although the accompanying booklet offers some vague definition of its use, it is suggested that a classroom atmosphere can make perfect use of the symbolism pictured in this deck to develop genuine familiarity with the principles of Tarot such as to not even desire another version.

    Great cards

I love these cards and they are easy to handle the only down side is the little pamplet that come with it does not go into depth of what the meaning is on the card. Would purchase another book to explain better.
    Good luck to all

    I Also Recommend:

    Excellent!

The cards are so much fun, I'll be getting use and fun out of them for many years to come. The instruction booklet is excellent and the card detailing the history of Pamela Smith was very informative. The cards are beautifully illustrated and are amazing works of art on their own.

    Great artwork

The Rider-Waite deck has many outstanding pieces of artwork inside it. A great beginner deck. One downside, it did not come with the booklet. A great buy.

    The Original Best

These cards are easier to read than other cards and provide daily enjoyment. A good supplement book to these cards would be Mastering The Tarot By Eden Gray, which obviously contains the Rider-Waite readings.

    Great Deck

The Rider-Waite Tarot Deck sets the standard for all other Tarot cards. It was the first deck I used 20 years ago and it is still my Tarot deck of choice.

A classic Tarot deck - highly recommended

The Rider-Waite deck, by Arthur Waite and artist Pamela Colman Smith, revolutioned the use of Tarot in the twentieth century. It set the stadnard against which all other Tarot decks must be judged. Every student of the Tarot should own this classic deck. For interpreting the cards, my favorite books are the ones by Rachel Pollock, Mary Greer, and Anthony Louis.
