Editorial Reviews

The Bearded Scribe - Elizabeth Norton
This is a wonderful science fiction trilogy for middle grade through high school. It has everything anyone could want in a series--a strong female lead, a bit of romantic tension, and a plot that leaves the reader thinking long after they put the book down. Cidney Swanson is one of those writers that I wish would get more attention--her novels are second to none!
Sue's Book Nook - Sue Moro
A unique plot. While YA books have been inundated with vampire stories, and recently mermaid tales...Rippler brings us invisibility! I really liked the unique idea behind this plot. The story moved at a nice pace... revealing new information as it's discovered by Sam and Will. There's also an evil element lurking in the shadows, which adds to the mystery and tension. Sam is a wonderful protagonist, as is her friend and developing love interest, Will.

    Obsessed

This series was one that I couldn't put down. It had a gresat balance of action and romance and the plotmoved along perfectly and at a great pace. The charactors are so easy to love. I was hooked from the first paragraph....

    Worth the read!

When I first started Rippler, I thought for sure I was gonna have to put the book down, it was so slow moving. But I decided to stick with it, and I'm glad I did. By the last third of the book the story really picked up and became more complex. I ended up reading all 3 books in the series, none of which failed to keep me reading. The characters are very likeable, and though they may come off as "shallow" in the first book , by the second book you find yourself laughing and crying right along with them. The only real disappointment with this series is that the ending was a little to abrupt. Not enough was explained, and it was a little unsatisfying. But for the most part all 3 books left me wanting more. So my advice is to stick with this series at least to the end of the first book. You won't be disappointed!

3 stars for effort, non- vampire content, and decent writing ski

3 stars for effort, non- vampire content, and decent writing skills, but way too much "padding" and a lot of confusing action. Lots of repetitious kidnappings, everyone gets injured, everyone gets captured, discovered, tied up. The characters
Continuously work sgainst their own best interests and those of their friends by-- you guessed it, doing EXACTLY what wiser characters advise them against doing. The "young love" is shallow and the attraction completely physical in nature. There is no
depth of character or continuity of character to make the reader care about anyone in the story.

What would you do if you could turn invisible?

This is a great story.  Samantha realizes she can turn invisible, but how?  and why?

And who is after her because of it?

A great trilogy by Cidney Swanson, author of the AWESOME Saving Mars series.  Just so you know, this series is a bit more of a fantasy / romance novel than the Saving Mars series (which is more sci-fi with a tiny bit of romance).

It's great to follow along with Samantha and Will as she learns and explores more about her power(s).
