Overview

There’s one name that has Agent Nala Dekker reaching for the gun holstered to her leg—Tantum Maddox, the one name her partner said before he died in her arms. After three years of searching for the faceless Tantum Maddox, his name has finally surfaced. Nala jumps on the first plane to Boston in chase of her long-awaited revenge. But instead of taking Tantum in for his crime or shooting him—in self-defense, of course—Nala nearly ends up in bed with the killer. So, it probably would’ve been a good idea to find out what her Target looked like before she went after him.

Agent Tantum Maddox has completed his assignment in Mexico... and now it’s time for his revenge. When Tantum finds a mysterious woman in his arms, and after he discovers exactly who she is—his Target—he must decide what to do with the gun concealed beneath her dress. Should he use it on her and kill her? Or spare her life and take her captive until he finds the answers he’s been looking for?

Somehow Nala’s innocence comes into question by the dangerously sexy Tantum Maddox and he accuses her of being a cold blooded killer. But why is Nala the one on trial, for Tantum’s the one who killed her partner—isn’t he? In this torrid twist of betrayal and seduction, will Tantum and Nala resist killing each other? Or worse, when the truth unfolds, will love become the only threat to their vindictive hearts?

To My Readers:

I enjoyed writing Tantum's character—who doesn’t like or want a bad boy? He's strong, clever, but like every mysterious man Tantum has a dark past and is wary of letting his heart come out from the shadows. Nala Dekker is witty, smart and like many modern woman- she's a control freak. Their characters emerge through The Risqué Target. Nala pulls Tantum from his darkness, while Tantum relinquishes Nala's control, taking it in a way that Nala is unable to deny.

KELLY GENDRON

Writing, what other way is there to describe it- it's my conviction, I've been faithfully writing for three years but started about eight years ago. My other full-time job, when I'm not writing, I'm a nurse who represents a group of nursing facilities in the WNY area. I live in North Tonawanda, New York- a small suburb between Buffalo and Niagara Falls. I have recently remarried after being single for the past ten years. Yes, I can finally say I found the right one! And I have a beautiful son, teenager, who continues to color my world with pride and laughte

This looks to be the first book by this author and let me tell y

This looks to be the first book by this author and let me tell you I can not wait to read more. The characters are great. Tantum is the perfect guy. Totally hot, predatory, protective, sexual and has a sense of humor. Nala is interesting in her own right. She is new to being a agent and while she really does normally seem like she can take care of herself and on any other assignment would kick some serious butt, Tantum has become a complication and you can see her defenses fall.
There was a little too much of Nala questioning her own feelings (“Is he guilty?” “Can I really trust him?”, “He did do it!”, “No I know he could never do it!”, etc) and it got a little irritating but all in all it was a really good book. The premise is interesting too. They find they are pitted against each other and are each trying to find the other guilty of crimes but they seem to figure out pretty early what is going on but not the who is setting it up.

I really enjoyed this book and couldn’t wait to see how it ended. I wanted to see how Tantum would overcome his own issues of the heart and it was fun to watch Nala fall so easily into his arms but try to keep her heart at arms length. I enjoyed the humor that was written into these characters (especially Tantum) as well. It really is a fun yet suspenseful read. I will eagerly pick up the next book by Gendron and hope it is just as well written as this one.

Marcus and Rebecca have instant chemistry, burning hot and dange

Marcus and Rebecca have instant chemistry, burning hot and dangerous, they're chance meeting at the airport and in a tech convention leaves them both hot and contemplating a fling. But the things is Marcus and Rebecca don't exist...

Tantum and Nala do and they have sworn to bring each other down, only neither knows what the other looks like. As NESA agents they know nothing more of each other than their ID numbers.

When Nala learns Marcus/Tantum is the man who killed her partner three years ago nothing will stop her vengeance. And when Tantum learns Rebecca/Nala is the target he's been hunting for for the bombing three years ago he swears to leave the lust and protectiveness he feels for her behind him and catch the killer. But nothing is ever fair in love and espionage...

First things first, when I started reading The Risque Target I simply couldn't put the nook down until I was all done with it. And that my friends is a tell tale sign that I am reading an awesome book! The Risque Target is full of the most delicious sexual temptation that never gives up, it's literally there all the time and it's so so yummy! But sexual temptation would be nothing if the writing wasn't excellent, and in Gendron's case it is! Gendron's a joy to read, the text is easy flowing, modern and laced with tons of excitement to keep the reader hooked!

I loved the plot, it was so good, three dimensional, there were sub-plots, bad guys, guns and an agent with superpower weapon of seduction. Without revealing too much I loved how someone was puppeteering both of them to attack each other and turn a blind eye to them. I really enjoyed hearing from both Nala and Tantum, it gave the book the urgency of erotic romance without having a shag in every corner - though with these two I would have not mind seeing that - such hot chemistry!

The romance was so hot! And it build to the actual act, it was a slow burning seduction one that every woman wants to experience, so, lucky Nala! What I especially loved about the romance was the instant attraction they had, the playful flirting when they didn't know they were after each other. But even after learning their real identities they still couldn't do the hands-off, and that ladies is what great romance is all about!

The only critique I have is Tantum's name, it almost put me off reading the book - see I have this pet peeve about weird/altered character names I just can't stand them, like Jamie/Jaemie, Christina/Crisetina or Elizabeth/Eleasabet... I could go on. In this case though Tantum was such a great character that my mind was okay calling him Tatum in my head. ;) Serious note to all writers: there is nothing wrong with normal names.

    I couldn't put it down!!!

Loved it! I could "see" everything the author was describing and was really able to get into the story. The characters were well thought out and believable. There interaction was combustable, bring on the cold shower. Could definitly identify with Nala's control issues and loved how everything came together in the end. The author has a wonderful talent for bringing the reader into the story. Can't wait for the next one.
