I will admit that if I had realized that this wasn't a sci-fi/romance, I wouldn't have bought it. That would have been a shame because once I started reading it, I could not put it down. Loved the story and the wonderful characters.

This was an extremely enjoyable read, fans of the Galaxy Unknown series by Thomas DePrima will probably love this series too. The action was fast and there was just enough fun stuff to offset some of the bigotry and prejudice that the heroine faces, she's smart tough and resourceful. Not to mention resilient and undeterred by anything. Really glad I purchased this book and I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the Riss series.
