Meet the Author

Mark Craig has covered the NFL for most of the past 21 years. A Pro Football Hall of Fame selector and a member of the Associated Press' NFL awards selection team, Craig covered the Browns and the NFL for the Canton (Ohio) Repository from 1991 to 1999 and the Vikings and the NFL from 2003 to the present. He also covered the University of Minnesota football program.

Sid Hartman sold newspapers on Minneapolis street corners as a boy. He began his writing career for the Minneapolis daily newspapers in November 1944 and his first column appeared on Sept. 11, 1945. He currently writes four columns a week for Star Tribune sports section and does a weekly SidCast on startribune.com.

Chip Scoggins is a Star Tribune sports columnist and enterprise writer. He covered the Vikings as a beat writer for four seasons from 2007-2010. He joined the Star Tribune in January 2000 and has covered high schools, the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Minnesota Wild and college football.

Jim Souhan joined the Star Tribune as a beat reporter covering the Vikings in 1990. He also has covered the Minnesota Twins, wrote features, worked as an investigative reporter and covered the NFL and Major League Baseball. He became a sports columnist in 2004. Before moving to Minnesota, he covered high school sports and the Dallas Cowboys for the Dallas Morning News.

Dan Wiederer began covering the Vikings in 2011. Before joining the Star Tribune, he spent seven seasons covering ACC basketball at The Fayetteville (N.C.) Observer. He also covered the Chicago Bears in 2003 and 2004.
