Overview

The Road to Delhi is the story of missionary statesman, J. Waskom Pickett. A friend to nation-builders, Pickett organized post-Partition relief efforts that saved tens of thousands. He was also architect of the remarkable United Mission to Nepal. However, his most lasting impact is the panoply of missiological insights he gleaned from his massive studies of Christian Dalits. "In this powerful study, Art McPhee takes us into the life of one of the great, but often overlooked, mission heroes. He helps us not only understand the deep spiritual commitments that motivated J. Waskom Pickett, but also the complex sociocultural and political arenas in which he served. In doing so, McPhee helps us grasp what mission service truly is, and shows us what God can do through a life truly committed to Him."
