Be careful what you wish for, very careful.

1410, Loch Ard Forest, Scotland. To win a wager—and the keys to a castle from his liege lord, Sir Angus MacDougall must find an acceptable bride within three months. Unfortunately, his battle-scared countenance and lack of title has made the task difficult. He has only three weeks left to find an educated and devoted woman to become his chatelaine when an inadvertent handfasting binds him to the beautiful but illiterate pagan healer, Birdalane. The arrangement can only lead to ruin and both now rush to undo what the gods and ill-phrased wishes have set in motion.

This award-winning paranormal fiction contains Highlanders, adventure, suspense, history, humor and romance.

Loved this book! I also fell in love with the first one "The Laird." I was laughing out loud with this book and loved the characters. I am picky and if I am not engaged enough I will skim through a book but I will definitely be reading this one over again!

Loved this book with Angus and Birdie. Sandy Blair's books are worth reading. Especially with the Highlander's series.

I had previously read The Laird by Sandy and absolutely loved the story and writing style. The Rogue was just as good. I love her style and plan to read more by this wonderful author. You abolutely will not be dissapointed in this book. Wonderful, funny, and at times heart breaking. Wish I could give more than 5 stars.

This series is great, especially this book. I cannot put it down and unfortunately for me I read at night before I go to sleep.....HA! It is entertaining, keeps you anticipating what is going to happen next and involved with each character. I can't wait to finish and read the next one!!

I like Sandy Blair's writing. It's not the most celebrated writing but if you are looking for entertainment then you will like it . I read her other books also but be careful, some of the books have been published under a different title. I got caught once.

I really like this author and think she has the potential to be a Diana Gabaldon, I feel that there are several avenues she can create, and go into a real reading depth that readers would and could adhere too. The story seems rushed at the ending for most of her novels. Like the premise and has so much potential. Sandy: please go into detail you have such talent! Your friendly reader.
