Reader: "Sceldrant's Comet?"

Writer: "After a strange reaction to a crystal Lance picked up, they suddenly found themselves in a strange world."

Reader: "Sounds boring!"

Writer: "After encountering frightening Scoldrants and enemies with magical powers, they set off to try and find a way home. Little did they know the Consultants won't let them."

*The reader yawned, rolling their eyes.*

Meet the Author

With high morals, imagination and a delicious craze for fantasy, The Rostical Users was born. Written like it's a script from a video game and an ongoing manga, we hope to see our adventures on the big screen one day. Michael Rogers, an author that absolutely hates reading (even his own series) and has never read a full adult sized book in his life, is a prime example that you can do anything once you've set yourself a goal or dream. Writen like it is a video game. With a name like " PKMY", it definintly reminds me of a online MMORPG. Despite this, and a heroe with just a downright hateful attitude to everyone, this is a suprisingly good book. Over 2000 pages written more like the text in a video game, this book has everything that a best selling fantasy has, well besides an editor. I felt for the characters, really was engrosed in their tasks, and look forward to any new books in the seres.

Sceldrant's Comet, part one of The Rostical Users series, I admit, after the into with the warriors and the Consultant, the story dropped and I almost gave it a miss. I'm REALLY lucky I didn't because once the characters entered Surpreon, that's when it got epic. There were a few grammar mistakes but I'm not sure if some of them were intended because it was a character speaking (Lance???!?!) I like Ashton, he's my ideal man and reminds me of my older bro. And, he's just awesome. FLORIAN DRIVER anyone? I've always been a fan of people using wind! And it kinda reminded me of Avatar the last airbender. I'll definately read the others just to know if they find the other two Unknown Territories! Two thumbs up!!

Sceldrant's Comet, about several people working in retail getting transported to a world of Rostical (magic/mana). It follows them trying to find a way home while exploring the new world. The magic system is by far the best I've read in ANY series, Neurons (power) and Astragons (space). It has suspense, mystery, comedy and at times anger, is Lance intentionally this irritating or...? Teresa is my favorite, I've always like emotionless characters, can't wait to find her backstory. Each character is very different from one another, very interesting. I've purchased the entire series, can't wait to finish reading them!

The start of an epic adventure. People from Earth get transported to a world of magic, try and find a way home, killing warriors, saving damsels. It may be generic, but it's worth the read, and it's for FREE! I downloaded the next book I'm curious to know what happens next?

Fantastic premise, good array of characters, fundamental magic system, superb hype, it has everything required to be a best seller. Needs editing and more descriptions. I indulge in world hopping and I really like how characters from Earth explore an unknown world filled with Rostical/Magic,

I started reading the Rostical Guild before knowing that this series existed. You can tell that this was the writer's first book in the series, as coming off the guild's writing, I found at times the wording and sentence structure was jarring. Likewise with the guild, the characters are the strong point of this series and I absolutely love how we're learning what happens from Lance and Ashton's side of the story. As some other reviewers have mentioned, I too, really enjoy Cameo appearances and this does not disappoint, well, besides the writing. I've already gone ahead and bought the entire series, as I know this will be an enjoyable read.

I had the time to read this while the kids were in day care. After reading the first instalment of The Rostical Guild, I found this book to be inferior, but it was still enjoyable. I've always enjoyed the fantasy stories where people from Earth find themselves in another world (even more so when there's magic/technology involved). It kind of reminded me of Spellbinders (if anyone can remember that series). Half way in the story, we find out what Rostical is and how exactly it works. I found the mechanics behind it very well described and it was like I was watching a movie. What I didn't like; First, why Lance is one of the main characters, that confuses me. He's a character you grow to hate. Awkward sentences, how Lance would ignore when people are trying to tell him something vital... Okay, I realized, I just don't like Lance hehe. What I did like; Since I was already used to the format, I've really grown to like it. It's fun and I can read it quite quickly. The way the story is delivered (nearly everything in dialogue), I couldn't imagine how hard it would be to write such a feat (respect to all screenwriters). The suspense and genuine interest of wanting to know more. I've already started the next book in the series. I'm positive it can only get better.
