This is a great book to building the foundation of neurological studies. The topics covered are basic yet thorough in description and also very well organized from beginning to end. This is a great book for those who have an interest in neurology and was essential for me to understand books I was and am to read. A great book to follow this one is John J. Ratey's "A User's Guide to the Brain", a more detailed and in-depth book of the same topics covered in this book plus many many more.
