This is an engaging short story that features a young princess grieving the loss of her mother. The world is set up really nicely, the royal family living in an enclosed dome on the planet's moon in a nice sci fi twist. The description is nice, but the real strength of the story is the subtle and sensitive characterisation of the princess, both headstrong and very hurt. The story is continued in the book Eladria, which I am keen to now read.
