The Running Game by L.E.Fitzpatrick is the first book in a serie

The Running Game by L.E.Fitzpatrick is the first book in a series. The main characters are 2 brothers hired to find a woman who turns out to have a lot in common with one of the brothers. This first book is mainly focused on how they come to know each other, what special mind talents they have in common, how the 2 brothers save the woman from the man who hired them and how they become a team. It is an interesting read and it did make me look forward to the next book in the series.

Well written, just not my style

First, I want to start off by saying that I love the cover!

This book was well written but for some reason I just couldn’t get into the story as much as I would have liked. I enjoyed Rachel and Charlie’s parts of the story and I really enjoyed John’s character. I guess I just felt that I didn’t need to see into so many characters' heads in order to enjoy the story.  This is all just personal preference and should not deter you from reading this book.

I really liked the way that the paranormal aspect was dealt with. The dystopian backdrop was very interesting and I can almost imagine our society disintegrating in that way.

    Worth the read!

I was given a copy of this book in return for an honest review.
