About the Author

Miriam E. David

Miriam E. David has researched and published extensively on gender and education issues, including Higher Education. She is the author of Reclaiming Feminism: challenging everyday misogyny (2016) and A Feminist Manifesto for Education (2016). Her efforts in the field extend beyond her written work as she is the founding member and founding chair of Gender and Education, an association formed in 2002 to combat the sexism and gender inequality present in education. Currently she is the Professor of Education at the Institute of Education, University of London and Associate Director of the Teaching and learning research programme.

Marilyn J. Amey

Marilyn J. Amey′s research covers a wide array of topics in the education field including educations partnerships, leadership, postsecondary governance, administration, organizational change and faculty issues. She is the co-author of Breaking out of the Box: Interdisciplinary Collaboration and Faculty Work (2004) and has been a guest editor of the Community College Journal of Research and Practice (2005). In addition to this, she was appointed as the DR. Mildred B. Erickson Distinguished Chair in Higher, Adult and Lifelong Education. Currently, she is a Professor of higher, adult, and lifelong education and chairperson of the Department of Educational Administration at Michigan State University.
