I really enjoyed this book, largely because it offered direct recipes from my city¿s ancient past. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Jenkins a few years ago at a living-history event. He is as charming as he is intelligent. If you want an excellent fare of foods that would otherwise go forgotten, then get this cookbook. liz
