Kianna is a woman who doesn’t expect romance, especially with a sexy PJ who is five years younger than she is. But, he just won’t give up so she agrees to a date, which turns into several and eventually to the best sex of her life. Still, she isn’t ready to commit beyond their present status.

Meet the Author

From an early age, Melissa loved to read. First, it was the books her mother read to her including her two favorites, Winnie the Pooh and the Beatrix Potter books. She cut her preteen teeth on Trixie Belden and read and reviewed To Kill a Mockingbird in middle school. It wasn’t until she was in college that she tried to write her first stories, which were full of angst and pain, and really not that fun to read or write. After trying several different genres, she found romance in a Linda Howard book.
Since the publication of her first book in 2004, Melissa has had close to fifty romances published. She writes in genres from historical suspense to modern day erotic romance to futuristics and paranormals. Included in those releases is the bestselling Harmless series. In 2011, Melissa branched out into self-publishing with A Little Harmless Submission and the popular military spinoff, Infatuation: A Little Harmless Military Romance. Along the way she has garnered an epic nomination, a multitude of reviewer’s recommended reads, over five Capa nods from TRS, over twelve nominations for AAD Bookies and regularly tops the bestseller lists on Amazon, All Romance Ebooks and Barnes & Noble.
Since she spent her childhood as a military brat, Melissa swore never to marry military. But, as we all know, Fate has her way with mortals. She is married to an AF major and is raising her own brats, both human and canine. She spends her days giving in to her addiction to Twitter, counting down the days until her hubby retires, and cursing the military for always sticking them in a location that is filled with bugs big enough to eat her children.

I was gifted this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is the third short story I have read by Melissa Schroeder and I enjoyed it. Gianni, is book three in a series of novellas about love and life in the military. Each novella is about one of the four Santini brothers. The story is well written and hot!

Gianni is the youngest Santini brother and is stationed in Valdosta, Georgia. Just like his three brothers, he is good-looking, caring and serves in the military. Gianni or Gee is an Airman. Kianna Jones is a sexy English Professor and widow. She is the oldest of three sisters and is a few years older than Gianni.

Gianni and Kianna meet in the local sweet shop and end up spending the day together. Their kiss goodnight and goodbye is only the beginning of what is yet to come. Gianni deploys the following day and they correspond via email throughout his deployment. They learn a lot about each other through email and when Gianni returns, it is as if they were dating for a couple of months. They continue to date, have amazing sex and fall in love.

This book is a great addition to the Santini series!

Yesterday I got an ARC of Gianni and I swear I was going to read

Yesterday I got an ARC of Gianni and I swear I was going to read just one page, but I could not put it down, it is that riveting. Largely the story is very different from any of the other stories so far in that the story opens up on Gee's last day in Georgia. He is being shipped out to Afganistan the following day and he will be gone indefinitely. He meets this cute woman in a coffee shop, he hits on her and she likes him and they spend the day hanging out. At the end of the day he gives her a kiss and says he will email her.
Then the story cuts to him recuperating from an injury in DC at his moms house. He was not majorly injured but his injury was enough to get him sent home to recover and out of the mission. Meanwhile him and our heroine Kianna, a professor at the university, who is a few olders than Gee have been emailing for 3 months and he cannot wait to get back to Georgia and her. The story then starts picking up from his knock on her door til when he manages to get her to marry him.
I am not going to spoil all the excitement of the story, except to tell you that the story is great and you will love every moment of it. I loved how they include all the other Santini's in the story and we get to catch up with all of them. The story is fun and a quick read. Our H and h have lots of sex but its not graphicly described. What came as a surprise to me was that Kianna is not white. I really had no idea, I was picturing her totally different in my head, and so I would have rather known that early on.
All in all a fun, quick read with some great characters. The perfect story to read on a rainy day or a book for the beach or pool.

Oh my! The Santini men just keep getting hotter.  Gianni Santini

Oh my! The Santini men just keep getting hotter.  Gianni Santini is a PJ in the Air Force stationed out of Valdosta, GA where he meets college professor Kianna Jones.  Kianna is older, curvy, and not looking for love with a man in any kind of uniform.  But Santini men never back down from a challenge and Gianni may just be in for the fight of his life.
This is a quick smoking hot read from one of my favorite authors.  Ms. Schroeder has intimate knowledge of the military and brings that realism to her stories.

    My thoughts...

By far Gianni is my favorite Santinis. This is my favorite novella of the series so far. I don't quite know what it is about Gianni but he get's my motor running. Maybe it's whole younger man / older woman aspect. I'm just not sure.

I liked the fact that Gee and Kianna's relationship was developed over a two month period via email while he was deployed. It made for the love element to be more believable.

Even though this is short novella read it was really enjoyable. Up next is Vicente's story. Can't wait!

    A quick and light read

Have you ever considered dating a younger man?  I sure did, and I really don’t think it’s as bad as many an older woman might assume.  It’s especially not so daunting if the younger man is like Gianni, the white hero in Melissa Schroeder’s The Santini’s:  Gianni, Book 3.  Gianni, or Gee as he’s affectionately called by his relatives and friends, is the youngest of the Santini brothers.  With his smokin’ hot body, his sense of humor, his obvious affection towards his relatives, and his don’t-mess-with-my-woman attitude, not even Professor Kianna Jones, a black woman, can resist him.

And who says you can’t get to know about a person through emails?  Gee and Kianna sure did.  Schroeder gives readers a brief insight into the email exchanges between the couple at the beginning of each chapter, which would at least evoke a chuckle from readers.  Thus, by the time Gee returns to Georgia he and Kianna have really gotten the opportunity to know each other quite well, so his homecoming is explosive.

Of course, the couple has to deal with issues many couples face in real life.  But in the end, Gee’s determination to woo Kianna and win her as encapsulated by his searing kiss to remind her “Just … who is the man in the relationship,” as well as their love for each other in spite of their differences in age, ethnicity and educational background ensure they have their happily ever after.

So if you’re looking for a quick, light read this summer, Gianni’s story is just right for you.  In fact, you might as well purchase the other books in this series:  Leonardo Book 1, Marco Book 2, and Vincente Book 4.

Love the older heroine, younger hero aspect. Sweet and very sexy.

    Rating: 3.5 - 4

Another great installment in The Santinis series. This time we meet Air Force PJ Gianni or "Gee". He's the youngest brother, but like the rest of the Santini men, when he falls, he falls hard. I liked the fact that Gianni fell for a slightly older woman, and Kianna wasn't all that hung up about age difference or how she looked next to him. I thought it was well paced with the allusion that they'd emailed back and forth during his two month deployment. They got to know each other quite well in that time without the physical aspect getting in the way. All of that changed as soon as he got back state side, and her ovaries weren't the only ones to feel the explosion. After a mind-blowing night and morning after of passion, Gianni could already feel himself falling for the her. Kianna may have been a tougher sell in the feelings department after having lost her husband in the line of duty, add to that the fact that her marriage was practically over before that.

The inevitable drama portion of the story was a little more awkward than in the previous two books. I agreed with Kianna that it came as a bit of a surprise. However, I love that the heroines in these stories all have their own moment to reflect and admit that they could have been a little more forth-coming. The characters were still wonderful to read about. Gianni was incredibly sweet and respectful towards Kianna, even going so far as to have a little chat with her somewhat bratty younger sister. The famous Gianni gene, of being a little territorial when his friends came sniffing around her, also made an appearance, but it was handled with great humor. Gianni and Kianna have some very cute dialogue in this book.

This wouldn't be a Santini story if there wasn't an opportunity to drag in some of the other brothers and their better half for a little heart-to-heart and some ribbing. MJ takes the reigns on this one which was pretty hilarious. Remember, she's not shy about getting physical when she's mad. Next up is Vicente, and I can't wait to see what happens to the "last Santini standing". We'll see how long that lasts.

    Favorite Line

My mother always says that it's always the man's fault. My father always agrees, especially if he's within hitting distance. −Gianni.

This is the third chapter in the Santini family saga.  OK, saga

This is the third chapter in the Santini family saga.  OK, saga is a but overkill but you get the idea.  Gianni and Kianna were a super sexy couple that actually started out as a deeper connection unlike the other brothers.  We definitely see a different side of Gianni then previously and I appreciated it.  The author gave us a glimpse of the family as a whole, coming together when someone is in need, and it was a beautiful thing.  I love how each of the heroines in this series are so different yet still fit into the fold that is the Santini's family.

I am extremely excited to read the final chapter, when Vince finally gets the girl!

As posted on The Smutty Kitty

    4 out of 5 Licks

I’ve been waiting for Gianni’s book since Leonardo was released. Gianni is the youngest of the Santinis and very outgoing and a serious flirt. I loved him in Leonardo’s book, flirting with MJ and driving his brother nuts. Reading the dynamic between family members is always so much fun. I love getting to know more and more about each brother before their story is released. I love that Kianna is a bit uncomfortable with her body and the things Gee says to her made me want to cry. Gee shows Kianna that even though he may be younger than her, her is wiser in some areas. I loved the emails at the beginning of each chapter. The two were emailing for two months while Gee was deployed. They learned so much about each other during that time that they really developed a very strong relationship. It was a surprise to both of them that they loved each other so quickly once Gee returned.

I can’t wait to see Vince fall. I bet he’s gonna be a tough one to crack…just the way I like them!

    Fantastic Short Read

    Gianni was fantastic!
Being the younger brother was a lot to measure up to! The personality that Melissa gave this character was definitely unique to the series. Gianni was first seen in book 2 of the series, Marco, and he was a fun-loving character who seemed to be able to push everyone's buttons. But when his story opened up and he was faced with a deployment on the same day that he met Kianna, your heart goes out for the fun loving Santini who seems to have met his match!
Kianna & Gee had to get to know each other over a distance and this built up a strong foundation.
The couple faced many challenges, age difference for one. One of my favorite parts of Gee's story was the inclusion of his sister-in-law MJ, who gave him some advice on fixing his relationship.
The Santini Men are definitely worth the read.
