    Enjoyable storyline, repetitive writing style

    This was the first book by this author that I've read and although I totally enjoyed the storyline I found the repetitive writing style to be thoroughly distracting and detracting from the potential of the plot. Having said that, I have certainly read worse. The attention to historical detail was good and is always something I seek in this book genre.

    Enjoyed reading this book

    I really enjoyed reading this book, i felt in love with Lance & Summer. The charecters were well though out, the book was well writen. over all loved it

    Didn't enjoy this story

    I found myself clicking ahead on my nook because the story just didn't engage me. The plot and characters just moved way too slowly for me. Finally I jumped to the last chapter and archived the book.

    Very enjoyable

    The novel truly depicted that struggles and obstacles of an interracial relationship, reflecting the prejudice and ostracism characteristic of that period. I really felt for Lance, a truly wonderful and masculine character...Really a joy to read

    Holds your interest

    I read a few chapters per night...it was a good story and firey romantic at times. If you like some hot romane here and there this is a good read.

    Wholly, erotica!

    I blew through this book in three days (super fast for me with a busy schedule and typical lackluster plots). Characters have depth and do transform throughout the novel; they did begin as stock characters, but went through their own stories and became something more.

    Yes, the erotica is way over the top than your traditional "Savage" Romance Novel, but refreshingly so.

    Summer's character was clearly well-written--despite her nasty sister.
