Overview

When criminal geneticists tamper with an isolated culture from 19th century America, they cause a chain reaction of nature trying to reassert predestined matches between the women and men of an unforgiving world ....

From the New York Times bestselling author of A Terrible Love.

The degradation of Queen Clara's sphere continues without apparent end. She must ask for assistance from the neighboring Kingdom of Kentucky to combat the demise of their way of life. However, the alliance isn't as strong without the promise of marriage, which in the past stood to unite the spheres.

Tensions run high, the ruination of additional spheres an imminent threat, causing strife and conflict. When Clara is seen as a pawn in a greater scheme and change of leadership, the Travelers interfere in an unforeseen way.

When two different groups of Travelers' objectives collide, a cataclysmic event ends in a scenario of unprecedented upheaval and resolution. Can Clara and the Band save the sphere and in so doing the people of the future? Will Clara find the peace and love she deserves?

Full length novel.

....Tamara [Rose Blodgett] took a HUGE risk doing this, and in the end it paid off. She weaved these two worlds together like an expert seamstress. I was in awe.

Tamara - where is the next installment!! I just love the premise of this story and the fact that Clara is so smart and strong for not only her people, but also the future of the human race. Too bad she had so many suitors and at times you could really feel her frustration at seeing them fight over her. The influx of the travelers was also an interesting twist. Can't wait to see how this story plays itself out -- seeing how there are several eligible women still to get mated....

It was as if the writer ran out of ideas for the original characters. The arrival of the Travelers made no sense with where the other books were headed. I liked the other books but had a hard time wanting to read this one.

One of the best books I have ever read. Before this book, I never thought there was anything such as a love octagon. Even with all the ups and downs, the author creates a semi-realistic where people live in spheres (the sphere-dwellers), and the ones on the outside are called savages. Take one girl, a select, made to mate with one of the Band (a group of strong, athletic men who habe gills on their neck to help them breathe in the case of a very heated fight- which then means, if they were regular, human men, they would have passed out and needed to have CPR- or other activities with such acclimations). This is my summer reading series, which also includes the Falle Series by Lauren Kate. Thank you for reding my review, and I would definately recomend this series to a friend.

I really love this series its one of the best I've read but after I got to the third book I got sick of it. I'm tired of all of these love triangles, quads, pentagons ect. As much as I love this book and the twists and turns I'm tired of the same thing happening again. Some one gets beaten, someone is nearly raped, a girl gets hit in a fight, again and again. I'm just tired of it.

Once again, I am not disappointed in Blodgett's Savage series. Book 3 in the series picks up right where Book 2 left off, and we are thrown right into the politics of Clara's Queen duties and the task of trying to integrate Band with Sphere-dwellers. I love how Blodgett is able to easily transcribe in language of the past, present and future with ease. What separates this book apart is her ingenious ability to tie in her other series, Death, with this one. I have only read Book 1 of the Death series, but you can bet I will be catching up quickly to see how this will all tie together.
