    more from this reviewer

    Great for review!

I had read the book before but then my class at school needed to nread it. Of course I forgot little details, so I got this and it helped refreash my memory so much!! Apparently I didn't read the last three chapters, but this helped me learn what happened and got me a "A" on the test (no pun intended haha)!

    Best Idea Ever!!!!!

When you have a book like the Scarlet Letter that is hard to follow then having the SparkNotes for it is a great idea. And this is coming from the viwe of someone in high school. My teacher was the onw who told us to get it to help undersatand the book (just don't read it inseat of the book or understanding the book will not be easy). And it really does help. If you read it before and after you read the chapter then it could really help you understand the book.

    Doesn't help

I bought the Spark Notes because I had to read it for English class, and I did not have enough time to read the entire novel. This does not help. I failed my test because it does not give detailed enough information. It is helpful however in answering questions about the theme, setting, and symbols. I recommend just reading the novel

    Nice book

This book is a very good book. I thought it was going to be a long very boring book, but it was all the contrary.I really enjoyed reading it because it not only gave u a good story but also taught u the puritan culture and beliefs. A great book to enjoy!
