Overview

This neat little book takes you on a guided walking tour to see about sixty-five awesome sculptures in New York City's Central Park. You can see them all in one (or two) days - depending on how much you want to walk. Central Park is filled with artistic and cultural gems - you won't believe the hidden sculptures you will find. Many lie undiscovered around hills, down ravines, or behind dense brush or topiary. You will feel as though you're on a treasure hunt as you find them. The tour starts at the southwestern corner of the park, at Columbus Circle, and leads you east across the bottom of the park, then takes you back-and-forth upward, mostly on the eastern side of the park, to the northern border. In case you want to skip some sculptures and focus on others, the tour helps you to see short cuts. This walking tour is a great way to enjoy the fresh air, see the city, get exercise, lose weight, and become cultured - all at the same time. New York has it all. Now you can too!
