When Annie O'Hanlon, Irish-born supermodel, returns home for her father's funeral, she's given an envelope that contains a letter and an old photograph of her father with a young woman named Jacqueline. The letter explains that her father had an affair with Jacqueline and got her pregnant. When the girl died giving birth to Annie, John and his wife adopted the baby. When Annie contacts her grandparents to learn more about her mother, they accuse her father of killing their daughter. Then she receives a call from Dermot Moore, a journalist, who tells her that he believes her grandparents are lying and her mother is still alive. She joins him in his search for the truth regarding Jacqueline's disappearance. Determined to solve the mystery, their hunt for answers almost costs Dermot his life. Annie is now alone as she tries to solve the mystery of what happened to Jacqueline, her mother!
