Meet the Author

I've always been a rather private person, still am in fact. Publishing a book wasn't easy for me, as it meant showcasing myself to anyone who picked up my work. It took me a long time to muster the courage to finally do it. I've always believed that an author's work is a window into their mind, knowing this and being rather self-conscience, I've always been a tad afraid to let anyone have a peek into mine.Ruling Body has been something I've been working on for a number of years, trying to perfect it and of course, enjoy it. These characters are dear to me, and at the end of it all, seven books in total, I hope others will enjoy the stories, the characters, and their situations.Once these stories are finished, I plan to settle into another science fiction series I started a number of years ago. We shall see what the future brings.

Certainly different point of view from the others in this series

Certainly different point of view from the others in this series, something I wasn't expecting or all that keen on. The previous five are all from an adult's perspective, however, I was still caught up in the character's lives. Having an understanding of how their society works, by reading the previous novels in the series, I wasn't shocked or troubled at what was presented. I loved the story, watching this girl and her personal slave go through Auriel's life together, for the time they had. I'm going to have to stop here because I don't want to spoil it for anyone else.

I've seen some of the comments left by other readers for some of the earlier books and I have to shake my head at those people. It's really easy to tell that this Michael Stark is not the same as the one who wrote The Island, as both authors have different write ups in the "meet the author" section. So I for one have paid no attention to any critical remarks made by anyone who read this Michael Stark's work without realizing it wasn't the Michael Stark they thought it was. It's just not fair to this author to have received negative feedback on his work just because a reader mistook one for the other. Both authors are wonderful, and I enjoyed reading works from both.
