Meet the Author

The name "Agatha Christie" is nearly synonymous with upper-class British mysteries, for good reason. Christie (1890-1976) set the standard for the genre in more than 60 novels and dozens of short stories, creating two iconic detectives along the way: the fastidious Belgian Hercule Poirot, and the English spinster Jane Marple in the Miss Marple series. No one could match her knack for weaving clues into her stories. Widely considered her masterpiece, And Then There Were None has been adapted into a number of films.

This is one of the best mysteries written by Agatha Christie. Tommy and Tuppence are have both come through WI and now wonder what they should do with themselves. Enter the adventure of their young lives and the beginnings of a career in detection. Agatha Christie's characters are well developed and sharply etched. Her crimes are elegant in their delivery and display no unnecessary blood and gore. This is how mystery novels should be written ... elegantly wicked. This is a book for Teens, Young Adults, and Adults. Miss Christie's books are timeless and can be read multiple times. One will always find something new each time.

Aggie kept just enough information floating through the story to lead me astray more than once. Good read.

I had heard of Agatha Christie all my life and at 70 decided i best read one while I still can. But it is such archaic language and incomprehensible settings I couldn't stagger thru to the end. Sorry.

And as grandparents for some reason christie departs from her usual crisp dialog to annoying chatter from tup. and this muddle of conversation and her equally annoying silent musings does not abate if miss marple and the apple lady dialog can annoy double for the reader of this pair few authors have managed such separate distinctive "series" as christie though several remain as collection of short stories rather than a separate book series a wonderful unique writer in the scond tup. will be more like short stories third wwii spy and next ones after
