This book is about a girl who is so mean and cruel and she is sent to her uncle's house. There she meets her maid, Ben Merryweather, a lovely bird, and lots of others. She has so many nice adventures. I loved this book because it was really sweet and you can read it any time you want, even if you are an adult!

I've always enjoyed this book, espesally now. I plan on having my own Secret Graden. I wanted to rate this book more, but this website wouldn't let me. If I could've made it bigger, i would've put down 1000! I would recamend this book for people who just want to keep they're secrets somwhere.

I think that The Secret Garden is a good book! I wouldn't choose any other book than this for something as heart warming than this and it is very adventurous.Mary starts out all mad after both her parents die. Around the beginning Mary moves to her uncles place and that night she hears crying coming from a corridor and she goes to find out who it was and she finds out that her uncle has a son who has never once set foot outside. the next day her servant helped her get dressed and she finds someone hiding from her but she or he does not reveal themselves. The next day she figures out who had been running away from her. His name is Dickon, who lives on a farm.Mary and Dickon find out about the secret garden. In the middle her uncle goes someplace while her cousin Cullen gets entertained by Mary. The next day Mary gets to speak to her uncle ' May I have any unwanted land to plant things on?' asked Mary, and Mary's uncle said 'sure. Now leave!'. Mary tells Dickon about it the next day. At the end Mary's uncle comes back unexpectedly and finds out about what Cullen, Mary, and Dickon did to the secret garden. Before all that had happened Mary and Dickon taught Cullen how to walk and Mary's uncle is surprised when he finds out. It is a great book if you are emotion or passionate, or likes some sad to begin with and turns into a happy ending.

I read quite often, and this book has taken me 2 weeks to read. I started reading it on a car trip, but didn't complete it. It's a very realistic book, not for the science fiction type. If your a young reader (younger than 8) I wouldn't suggest it. They use some Yorkshire/English accented language.

The Secret Garden by Frances Hogson Burnett is a four star book. The four stars represent the feelings and emotions the book sends to the reader. Not only does The Secret Garden have a dark and mysterious storyline, it also has a love plot behind it all. The story is different from real life. It¿s interesting to read about someone else who has a totally different perspective on life. While reading this book you never know what is going to happen next, which is very exciting and will make you want to read more. It is almost like the story has two personalities that you can¿t figure out because of all the things hidden between the lines. Mary is such a unique character, and has a major affect on how the story turns out. She isn¿t like normal children, in good and bad ways. When I first begin the book, I see a dark and gloomy setting. Though, more towards the middle I see that the garden has bloomed and puts a new bright color into the picture. I give The Secret Garden a four star rating also because no matter what, Mary never gives up. I believe that perseverance is a major characteristic that you will need all though your life, and this book shows it. Mary is a great influence on children who have been through rough times. Though, Mary is the trouble-maker at Misselthwaite Manor, she shows how believing in what you think is right turns out to the best. The Little Princess is another book that will capture your emotions with a mixture of love and disagreements. I am an 8th grade student and I love to play soccer.

This is one of the best stories in history. Really meaningful, and suspense will take over your minds. All about Mary Lennox, an ill tempered child, who moves with her uncle. There at her uncle's house, she helps her cousin regain confidence, and along the way there is a mysterious secret garden with some history........
