The author is not a native Japanese speaker and could never pick up on the nuances of the language to reliably translate a text like this. It is also a poorly done, self-published book. Although the author lived in Japan he left on bad terms with many people there. Many foreigners can speak Japanese but translating something like this should be done by a legitimate Japanese Academic.
