The Secrets of Provence offers to take you on an enchanting photographic journey through the rich history and heritage of the region, illuminated by inspiring and informative text. Historic sites and architecture are covered, such as the legendary Pont d’Avignon, and the Château D’If of The Count of Monte Cristo fame, while the natural beauty that characterizes Provence is also celebrated, featuring landscapes well known as the inspiration behind works by Cézanne and Van Gogh.
Aside from the spectacular views of Provence’s iconic sights, this book also reveals the hidden treasures. A land rich in stunningly picturesque medieval villages, a wealth of beauty exists nestled in valleys, perched atop rocky crags and down cobbled streets, all of which is waiting to be discovered and enjoyed between the pages of this beautiful book.

gorgeous pics, but... an entire volume about a region, and not a single MAP of it? you have to combine reading and checking with google maps to find where the autors are leading you.
somehow evanescent...
Very please with the content and the pictures.
